Pen Fight

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 15, 2026 · Last updated: August 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Pen Fight: Flick Battle (the "App"), developed by Paolo Furlan (listed as Furlan Paolo on the App Store) ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use the App on iPhone or iPad.

The short version: Pen Fight does not collect your email, contacts, photos, or precise location, and never asks you to create an account. It does show ads — a short full-screen advert from Google AdMob after a match — and those ads involve advertising identifiers and data about how you use the App. A one-time in-app purchase, Remove Ads, turns them off permanently. Everything else we collect is limited, anonymous technical data used to understand how the game is played and to fix crashes.

Online play uses Game Center. Every other part of the game — playing the computer, pass-and-play, and the Weekly Desk — works with no account at all. If you choose to play online, the App signs you in to Apple’s Game Center, and your Game Center nickname is shown to the people you play against. That account is Apple’s, not ours: we never see your Apple Account, your email address, or your real name.

The App offers optional in-app purchases. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects only the following data, none of which directly identifies you:

2. What We Do Not Collect

2a. Advertising, Tracking and Your Consent

App Tracking Transparency. Because the App includes Google’s Mobile Ads SDK, iOS asks you once whether the App may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. We ask this after your first completed match, never at launch, and never at the same moment as any other permission. Saying no costs you nothing: the game is identical, Remove Ads is the same price, and adverts continue as non-personalised. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you are in one of these regions, before any advert is requested we show a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform, a certified Consent Management Platform operating under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.3). It lists the advertising vendors involved and lets you accept or refuse each purpose. You can reopen it at any time from Options → Privacy Options inside the App, which appears wherever this requirement applies.

US state privacy laws. Serving personalised adverts involves “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those laws define it, even though no money changes hands. Residents of California and other states with comparable laws may opt out through the US-state privacy form shown by the same consent platform, by declining App Tracking Transparency, or by buying Remove Ads.

The simplest opt-out is the product. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase in the in-app Shop. Once it is yours, no advert is requested and nothing is sent to Google AdMob at all, on any device signed in to your Apple Account.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

4. Data Retention

Analytics and crash data in Firebase are retained for a limited period as configured in our Firebase project and are then deleted. Local game data remains on your device until you delete the App.

5. Children's Privacy

Pen Fight: Flick Battle is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App contains no chat and no messaging of any kind, and we do not create an account for you.

The App is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children under 13, is not in the App Store’s Kids Category, and is not tagged for child-directed treatment with our advertising partner. Adverts are restricted to Google’s G (general audiences) content rating, and categories unsuitable for a 4+ game are blocked at the account level. A parent who would rather the App showed no adverts at all can buy Remove Ads, or turn off tracking in iOS Settings to limit them to non-personalised ones. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using section 8 and we will delete it.

Online play is optional and is the only part of the App that uses Apple’s Game Center. Game Center access can be restricted or turned off entirely for a device in Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions. With it restricted, the App says so plainly and every offline mode continues to work.
